Jo’s creation goes out to all the kitty lovers out there! Using Ken Oliver Colour Burst range, she’s added some intense vibrancy to this set! We are definitely in love with it!

Jo has played with these before and she just wants to say how glad she is to have rediscovered them! She had so much fun playing with them! She loves that initially it doesn’t look like you have put that much of the pigment down but once touched with water it was like an explosion of intense, vibrant and beautiful colours on her cards. She added water with her Distress Sprayer as it disperses a fine mist when pulled in full spritz mode. Now, Jo’s biggest secret tip when it comes to handling these powders is to make sure they are thoroughly dried before touching them with your fingers as most likely you will get them on there. If you don’t mind having them on your fingers feel free to continue on. But because in her case she was using a white top folding card base so she had to be a little more mindful of her hands.

The 3 Color bursts Jo used are Violet, Ultramarine & Phthalo Green. All Ken Oliver colour ranges have an array of pigments in the same colours leaving a range of intensity leaving a WOW factor behind. For the dies she had used the Lawn Fawn Cross stitched in the small rectangle and circle range. She also used Noble Fir, Juice Box and Fishtank Lawn Fawn Inks!

Check out how she does it in the video tutorial below!

Jo feels that this cardset has a mixed media feel to it with the stencil, texture paste and the colour burst. The layering process started with the colour burst panel, then stencils and texture paste then dies. She’s not sure what compelled her to make this type of card but she just had all these items out on her desk and went for it. We say let the creative juices flow, Jo, cause it sure created a WOW cardset!
